An Italian woman who got her high-school diploma at the age of 90 recently became an honorary teacher for a day in her hometown in Umbria last week.

“I've crowned another dream of mine,” said Imelda Starnini after opening the school year in an institute in Città di Castello.
The local mayor had invited her to ring the opening bell after she got her diploma in July.
On getting her diploma, Starnini said, “You don’t achieve anything in life without sacrifice and, at my age, I decided to put myself to the test and tackle this exam.”
“Study, knowledge and the desire to learn are ageless and I am proof of that.”
