Payneham resident Angela De Marco is the daughter of local councillor, Raffaello De Marco, and acclaimed pop singer, Maria De Marco.

Angela came second on the grand final of the program New Faces, broadcast on Channel 10 on Monday.

The pint-sized pianist was praised by all three judges in the preliminary finals.

In fact, one of the judges wanted to give her a maximum of 100 points, in an unprecedented move.

On the first evening, Angela impressed the crowd with a piece by Mozart and in the semi-finals she performed Für Elise by Beethoven.

In the final, she chose to perform two complex pieces by Schubert.

The young talent, who attends Payneham Demonstration School, began studying music three and a half years ago.

We have a feeling there is much more on the horizon for Angela.
