Your life was so hard.

More than many could perceive.

From your childhood to the present.

With so many reasons to grieve.

Although we tried so hard to keep your mind occupied.

It was always a battle that you could not hide.

You suffered so much, yet you still gave a lot.

Your kitchen was always the best coffee spot.

Your cooking could still be on a par with any chef.

Your cotollette and polpette were the absolute best!

Your garden was your therapy.

And what a green thumb you had.

When you saw your crop growing you were extremely glad!

Your list of medical conditions was long and complicated.

We learnt so much that with a medical diploma we should have been instated.

Although it was a battle getting you to use a walker.

It turned out to be your best friend and your greatest supporter.

Your love for your great grandchildren left us astounded.

The show of emotion forever abounded.

They loved you so much, their “nonna chikina”.

They will always remember lunches had with you after kinder.

Rewarded with cheezels if lunch was eaten was a treat.

Not driving poor nonna crazy was an incredible feat.

The only time she ever smiled was when there were grandchildren in sight.

She smiled at their antics whatever her plight.

She now begins her journey to heaven above.

reunited with loved ones she grieved for so much.

This beautiful prayer did catch our eye.

And we are now quoting it to say goodbye.

“Father in Heaven, Hear our prayer.

Love our mother and grandmother with loving care.

Be a good shepherd do not leave her alone.

Love her in heaven as we did at home.”

Your daughter Felice, Son in Law Pat, grandchildren Francine and Adam, John and Claire and great grandchildren Chiara, Chaupar-Maurizio, Matteo and

Genoah.

Sincere thanks to the amazing team at Moreland West Medical Clinic, our team of lifesavers at Keilor Park Pharmacy, All Staff at IPC health for outstanding efforts in keeping mum mobile.  Mum's carers past and present. We honestly do not know what we would have done without everyone's input.

Last but not least, neighbours, relatives and friends who supported her through these difficult years Thank you all for treating mum with dignity and compassion and doing the best anyone could to keep her afloat.

We were overwhelmed by the care given by ambulance officers, ED, RADU and Palliative care staff at sunshine hospital. Words cannot express our gratitude.
