Maria lascia nel più profondo dolore il fratello Nello Lazzara con la moglie Teresa, i nipoti Adriana con il marito Andrea Sigona e famiglia, Sebastiano con la moglie Alessandra e famiglia, ed Emanuela, tutti residenti a Pozzallo in Italia. In Australia lascia la sorella Giovanna con il marito Giovanni Interlandi e i nipoti Giovannella con il marito Del Fernandes e Felice Interlandi, con le loro famiglie. Lascia inoltre i cugini Sebastiano e Tina Lazzara, Giovanna e Antonio Montalto, Salvatore e Matilda Noce, tutti con le loro famiglie.

adesso ti sei ricongiunta in cielo con la cara Carmen.
Il Signore ti ha accolto fra le sue braccia
nella gloria del Paradiso.
