Nonna Rosa’s cabbage rolls
A simple and tasty dish.
• 1 whole cabbage
• 1 cup cooked rice
• 200g minced meat
• 1 egg
• 1 tbsp parmesan
• 1 tsp pine nuts
• Parsley
• Salt and pepper
• Extra virgin olive oil
• Butter
1. Preheat oven to 150°C.
2. Place all of the ingredients except for the cabbage in a large bowl. Stir to combine.
3. Bring a large pot of water to the boil. Cook the cabbage for 10 minutes. Set aside to cool.
4. Take one cabbage leaf at a time and place a spoonful of mixture in the centre of each leaf. Roll each leaf up and place in a baking dish.
5. Dress with a dash of olive oil and a few knobs of butter.
6. Cook in oven for 30 minutes.
