Grants of up to $500,000 are available to support multicultural community groups to undertake upgrades or build community facilities and continue to share cultural history and celebrate diversity.
A total of $4.25 million is available for projects throughout Victoria.
The program will prioritise applications from rural and regional groups, and new and emerging communities, who often have limited resources.
“We know how important it is for multicultural Victorians to have a space to call their own – and that’s as important now as ever,” Minister for Multicultural Affairs Ros Spence said.
“This funding will help create safe spaces for community members to come together in a COVID-safe way.”
MCIF is for infrastructure projects that are ready to proceed and can be completed by May 1, 2023.
Applications close at 3:00 pm on Monday, January 31, 2022.
