The street festival features food and refreshments served up by local businesses, with diners choosing from a diverse range of cuisines including Middle Eastern, Italian, Vietnamese, Greek, Thai, Nepalese, Mediterranean modern Australian and more.

Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne said that he was looking forward to sampling the food on offer.

“The Inner West is the birthplace of multiculturalism in Australia, and our cultures really shine through their food,” he said.

“The feast is a great opportunity to get out, meet your neighbours, try some amazing food and have fun with the family.”

Local establishments Andiamo Trattoria, Summer Hill Hotel, The Rio and The Temperance Society are back with a pop up bar, offering a selection of wine, craft beers and delicious cocktails.

Andiamo Trattoria creates Italian meals in the home-cooked style, just like Nonna used to make.

Family fun is also available at the Kid’s Play Park, where children can explore the Australian Wildlife Displays show, jumping castle, play Garden Games and receive temporary tattoos.

Eventgoers will also be treated to live entertainment from local musicians, dance troupes, local buskers and the annual pizza eating competition, while the Bower Reuse and Repair Café will be repairing small electrical appliances through the event day.

Located in the Inner West, Summer Hill is known for its village atmosphere and wide array of contemporary restaurants, cafés, and small bars.
