Despite the away side having slightly more of the ball, they managed only one shot on target for the entire match.
That shot on target came in the form of a scuffed strike that slowly bounced towards the unthreatened goalkeeper.
Pisa’s opener came in the 35th minute thanks to a bullet header from Stefano Morea who got on the end of a pinpoint cross from Idrissa Toure.
In the second half, Daam Foulon tried a shot from outside the box, but the Belgian hit the overside of the net.
Pisa almost went 2-0 up, but Matteo Tramoni’s vicious volley was hit straight at Alberto Paleari.
Tramoni made no mistake with his next effort however, slotting it inside the far post after Ernesto Torregrossa put him through on goal.
Pisa sit in fifth while Benevento only have eight games to save their season.
