Other football associations have also started discussing the proposed new ‘blue cards’, to punish dissent and professional fouls.
The blue card would have a player leave the field temporarily.
The topflight also wants the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) to grant it greater autonomy, along the lines of the English Premier League, as well as a bigger slice of betting revenue and an end to a ban on betting sponsorship, according to a copy of the plan which ANSA has seen.
