Renovations to the building and managing an increasingly diversified social calendar are currently the main focuses of the club’s committee, led by its new president, Trish Corelli.
On April 25, club members and associates gathered to commemorate those who courageously sacrificed their lives in the name of freedom, on the joint commemoration of ANZAC Day and Liberation Day.
“Their sacrifice will never be in vain,” Corelli said in her speech.
“We remember those who lost their lives on the plains, hills and mountains of our beautiful Friuli, where the blood of the Alpine troops was shed,” continued the club’s secretary, Federico Martin.
Accompanied by the traditional choral piece Stelutis alpinis, Martin invited guests to observe a minute of silence in honour of the valiant men and women, who “will never grow old, but will always be remembered, at sunset and dawn”.

Flanked by young talents and entrepreneurs, the club’s committee is now embarking on a new and exciting journey, full of social and cultural events.
On April 11, the association celebrated the highly anticipated Friuli Day to honour the foundation of the Friulian Patriarchate back in 1077.
After the mass, celebrated by Father Ferruccio Romanin and sung by the Furlan and Veneto Choirs, guests were greeted by Corelli and enjoyed a sumptuous traditional lunch.
“We want to protect the ancient culture that made our club great, but we would also like to welcome the whole local community,” Corelli said in her welcoming speech.
“We will continue to protect the older generations and our origins, but we will give space to anyone who wants to be part of our club.
“We want everyone to feel at home, rediscovering our traditions.”
