The home side Brescia are in the relegation playoff zone, but a win would have seen them one point from safety.

Meanwhile, Pisa are now outside the promotion playoff zone as a result of the draw.

Brescia had a scare early on when centre back Massimiliano Mangraviti and goalkeeper Lorenzo Andrenacci failed to communicate effectively.

The defender intercepted a cross that would have been better left for the keeper, instead his touch took it alarmingly close to his own goal where it fortunately missed.

Pisa then went close with a free kick from Giuseppe Mastinu, but it was stopped by an excellent save from Andrenacci who dived to his left.

Brescia almost broke the deadlock with a long-range shot from Jakub Labojko, but his shot was just wide.

The home side went ahead eight minutes after the break when Dimitri Bisoli volleyed Pablo Rodriguez’s cross into the ground and past the keeper.

The visitors drew level in the 79th minute thanks to some brilliant work on the wing by Olimpiu Morutan.

The Romanian went one way, then the other, then back again before getting a cross into the box that was headed in by Gaetano Masucci.

Pisa need to win their next game and hope that Palermo draws, or Venezia loses.

Brescia will most likely be playing in the relegation playoffs.
