Melbourne Italian Festa returns next month

On Sunday, November 17, Lygon Street will come alive for a celebration of “la dolce vita”, at this year’s Melbourne Italian Festa.

From 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, the iconic strip – not just Piazza Italia – will be transformed into a hub of Italian culture and traditions for the biggest event on our community’s calendar.

Festivalgoers will be treated to performances by various artists, live Italian music, sporting activities and attractions for children and families (such as a soccer tournament, giant games, soccer tables and face painting), workshops, masterclasses, a recycling program, a puppet show and much more!

There will also be a banquet of delicious Italian fare on offer, from pizza and panini to gelato and cannoli.

The festa will also host the Grand Final of the Targa Florio Australia Tribute 2019, a must for motorsport enthusiasts.

Lygon Street will be closed to traffic from Queensberry Street to Grattan Street, meaning the heart of Italian culture in Melbourne will be all yours for the day!
