Europe’s largest university scored 99.1 out of 100 in classics and ancient history.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject report covers a total of 55 subjects, grouped into five broad areas.

La Sapienza also came top among Italian universities for arts/humanities and natural sciences, coming 40th and 61st respectively at the international level.

Italy’s higher education system came seventh on the global scale for the number of subjects and universities ranked and second in the EU, behind only Germany.
