Turin prosecutors have wrapped up a probe into Molko for alleged defamation, which is a criminal offense in Italy, and vilification, sources said on Wednesday.
They now have to wait for the outcome of an international judicial request to identify the place of domicile of Molko, who lives in London, in order to notify him of the proceedings, the sources added.
When Italian prosecutors notify a suspect that they have concluded an investigation it frequently comes before they request an indictment.
