The Bocelli family have steadily cemented themselves as cult figures in the US, and this Christmas, four-fingered, yellow, cartoon renderings of the family will appear in the world's most famous animated series, The Simpsons.

The short film The Simpsons meet the Bocellis in 'Feliz Navidad’ will be available exclusively on Disney+ from December 15.

In the beloved series’ latest Christmas special, Homer surprises Marge with the perfect gift: an unforgettable performance by Italian opera superstar Andrea Bocelli, who sings the family the titular quintessential Christmas song, along with Matteo and little Virginia.

The special’s poster, which offers a first glimpse of the Bocelli family in The Simpsons' universe, has also been released.

To coincide with the release of the short film, on December 15, Andrea, Matteo and Virginia Bocelli will also release a new single, ‘Feliz Navidad’ - a special version of the song featuring the The Simpsons themselves, which will be available on all digital streaming platforms.

The Simpsons meet the Bocellis in 'Feliz Navidad' is the latest in a collection of short films from the minds behind The Simpsons created exclusively for Disney+. Before the Bocellis, pop sensation Billie Eilish, star of the Emmy nominated Lisa, Meet Billie, also had the honour of entering the animated world of the show.

Other shorts made especially for Disney+ include Maggie Simpson in ‘The Force Awakens after her nap’ (also Emmy nominated) and The Good, The Bart and The Loki, which were Star Wars and Marvel themed, respectively.

All of these previously released exclusive shorts are still available to stream on Disney+.
