So far, the Sicilian club have received 11.6 million euros in sales, 7 million of which was for Raoul Bellanova’s move to Torino. Not bad business for a player who didn’t feature at all last season.
They’ve spent 8 million euros on inbound players, half of which went towards 20-year-old Ibrahim Sulemana from Hellas Verona, who made 11 appearances for the club.
Cagliari have also brought in Tommaso Augello from relegated Sampdoria and Alessandro Di Pardo from Juventus.
Il Globo verdict: Cagliari, who are already a relatively good side, have managed to bring in players that should improve their squad while holding onto the likes of star striker Gianluca Lapadula. On top of this, they have an experienced manager in Claudio Ranieri who has done it all. They should have a good season for a newly promoted team.
Prediction: They’ll avoid relegation. 14th to 17th.
