The Codacons request came after Fedez, 34, declared himself to be without assets.

“For some time now, Codacons has been waging an almost daily media and judicial campaign” against Fedez “for behaviour that is allegedly lamentable, if not actually criminal,” said his lawyers.

“All the accusations made have proved to be unfounded and are merely a pretext to attack him unjustly,” they added.

Codacons has also recently filed a number of complaints against Fedez’ partner, 36-year-old influencer and businesswoman Chiara Ferragni.

The complaints were for allegedly falsely profiting from allegedly bogus charity item sales including a pandoro Christmas cake, a doll and an Easter egg modelled on her.

Ferragni is now under investigation for alleged fraud and has been ordered by Italy’s competition watchdog to pay a one million euro fine.
