The man, Milan bank clerk Davide Fontana, was found guilty of murdering Carol Maltesi in her home at Rescaldina and getting rid of her chopped-up body near Brescia.
The remains of Maltesi, who went by the stage name Charlotte Angie, were found in black bags in Borno on March 21, 2022.
Fontana, also a neighbour of the victim, said he initially kept the body in a freezer, chopped it up and then threw it down a precipice.
Fontana told police he and Maltesi had been playing an erotic game that went wrong, after which he hit her with a hammer “and lost control”.
In a video filmed in 2020, Maltesi said “I support women against violence”.
Her beautician Sefora told reporters that “she was a beautiful girl, fragile and sensitive, who suffered greatly because her son was so far away from her”, referring to the fact that the boy lived in Amsterdam with his father.
“It was her dream to go and live in the Netherlands,” said Sefora.
