Testa, who won the featherweight gold medal at the women's amateur boxing world championships last month, came out as gay in 2021.
"Lots of athletes tell the story of their normal existence through sport, like me," Testa said at an event organised by Le Coq Sportif.
"I think it's necessary to get young people to understand that what happens in the fifth year of high school is the same as what happens in a team or in sport in general.
"There's noting to be surprised about if an athlete comes out".
