Former Rosario, Benfica, Man Utd, Real Madrid and PSG wing wizard Di Maria, 35, is rated one of Argentina’s all-time greats.

“Following one season in black and white, Angel Di Maria and Juventus have parted ways,” the Bianconeri said in a statement.

After his arrival at Continassa in July 2022, the now 35-year-old had signed a one-year contract after his successful stint with PSG in France, adding Serie A to his list of top-tier leagues in which he had shone.

Across the 2022/23 campaign, Di Maria featured in 40 matches, scoring eight goals, four of which came in the league and the other four in the Europa League.

Halfway through his stay, he also lifted the 2022 Fifa World Cup trophy with Argentina.

“Among the most notable highlights in Bianconero was his goal on debut against Sassuolo: a well-taken volley that sent the fans at the Allianz Stadium into raptures,” Juve’s statement read.

“After the World Cup in Qatar, some of his best performances came in the Europa League, including a hat-trick against Nantes and the winning strike at home against Freiburg, his last goal in black and white.

“Thank you for everything, and all the best for the future, Fideo!”
